OCTOBER

Crow Canyon Gardens Demonstration Gardens Restoration Project
Saturday, October 5 • 9:00 am – 11:00 am
105 Park Place, San Ramon

Do you enjoy gardening and helping things grow? Have you always wanted to garden but lacked the space or knowledge to get started? We need your help at Crow Canyon Gardens to bring the demonstration gardens back to their former beauty. Have fun and help improve one of San Ramon’s parks. Click here for more information.

Monarch Ridge Loop Hike With San Ramon OSAC
Saturday, October 12 • 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Japonica Way just East of Waterlily Way, San Ramon

FREE – Pre-registration required. Hikers will enjoy a nice stroll in the rolling hills with slight to moderate increases and decreases in elevation. The trail will take you along the edge of Valley View Park before making a descent to a paved path running along the edge of the neighborhood. Lucky hikers will be treated to jackrabbits along the hillsides, ground squirrels scurrying along the paths, and a plethora of birds along the trial. Click here to register.

2024 Run For Education
5K, 10K, Friendship Run & Mini Run and The Expo for Education
October 13 • 8am – 12pm

Walk, run, roll, or stroll with friends, family, neighbors, teammates, and colleagues in support of our schools. Come for The Run and stay for the fun: enjoy our kids’ zone, inflatable games, face painter, balloon artist, photo booth, SRVFPD fire truck, exhibitor booths, and more! Entry fee and registration required. San Ramon Culture in the Community Celebration
Sunday, October 15, 2023 • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
San Ramon Community Center
12501 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon
This exciting event will feature multicultural performances, music, art, activities, and food from around the world. Watch as the San Ramon Community Center comes alive with international performances, cultural booths, children’s activities, and prizes. Take a staycation to the wonderfully diverse world in our own backyard. Attendees are encouraged to wear attire representative of the country of origin/heritage or clothing from any country of interest. Admission and parking are free. Click here for more info

Parks Make Life Better Clean Up Day
Saturday, October 19 • 9am – 12pm
Athan Downs Park
Montevideo Drive and Davona Drive, San Ramon

Volunteers must register. Help maintain and beautify our neighborhood parks. Open to all ages. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Tasks may include planting, pruning, applying mulch and general clean up. Bring work gloves and wear close toed shoes. Click here to register.

San Ramon Symphonic Band – A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
Wednesday, October 30 • 7 – 9pm

Tickets required – Children under 12yrs – FREE admission For over three decades, the San Ramon Symphonic Band has been noted for making great music and delighting audiences of all ages under the direction of conductor, Larry Colon. October 12 – Indigenous Peoples Day
Join us in celebrating our Nation’s first inhabitants and learn about the Tribal Nations that lived in the San Ramon Valley.

October 19 – Trick or Treat on the Farm
Come in your Halloween costume for a trick-or-treat adventure. Travel around the farm to different stations for activities and treats to take home!

October 26 – Barn Owls
Did you know that the Farm has barn owls that live in our barns? Learn the origins of their name, and make an owl craft to take home.

 

NOVEMBER

San Ramon Senior Center Foundation Holiday Boutique
Saturday, November 2 • 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
San Ramon Community Center
12501 Acosta Blvd.,  San Ramon

Shop early for holiday gifts and décor at this event featuring over 65 local crafters, including the Senior Foundation Boutique Group. Proceeds will go to the San Ramon Senior Center Foundation and benefit the senior programs and the Alcosta Senior and Community Center.
